Britax Beacons

The Britax range of beacons are stylish, robust, reliable products aimed at providing excellent all-round visibility in all weather conditions and on a wide range of agricultural, construction, specialist and commercial vehicles. Some of our products are R65 and R10 compliant; others have IP65 and IP67 ratings.

ECE R65 (R65) is a United Nations regulation. It sets the standard for beacons, light bars and other vehicle warning lamps. The regulation has been designed to ensure that certain core standards governing light output, light dispersion, colour, and flash frequency are being met. The R65 regulation also measures cold start, water ingress and heat resistance.

EMC R10/ECE R10 (R10) is a United Nations regulation. It is the type-approval test for European automotive electronics. This regulation includes a diverse range of testing; including RF immunity and emissions and transient immunity and emissions. R10 approval includes a requirement for surge, burst, harmonics & flicker; it also provides advice and requirements for various electrical vehicles.

IP65 ratings means the connectors are protected from dust and protected against water projected from a nozzle.

IP67 ratings means the connectors are protected from dust and capable of withstanding water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
